Lewisporte Collegiate provides a safe and caring learning environment where students achieve their fullest potential in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
It has been brought to the attention of District Transportation Staff that the driver of route LP 19 has been conducting stops at locations other than those listed on the route document, attached herein for reference.
Effective April 8, 2024, these additional stops will no longer be serviced. Stops will be conducted only at the locations specified in the route document.
As per the School Bus Transportation Handbook, it is the responsibility and expectation of students to arrive at their bus pick-up point at least five minutes prior to the bus arrival time, and to only access via assigned bus stop.
To request an additional bus stop for your student, please submit the request through the Student Transportation Public Inquiry Form.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Monday, February 19, 2024 from
1:00pm - 4:00pm and from 5:00pm - 6:30pm. Parents will need to create an account at
http://www.parentinterviews.com/lewisporte-collegiate then login to the optis system, select the teacher(s) and time(s) you want. If you have previously created an account the choose the forgot password option and follow the instructions to create a new password.
Microsoft Office for Students
All students have free access to Microsoft Office.
Step 1: Go to portal.office.com
Step 2: Sign in using your nlesd google credentials (e.g. student42_s@nlesd.ca then enter your password). If you do not know your password or need it reset please contact Mr. White at kriswhite@nlesd.ca or Mr. Coish at grahamcoish@nlesd.ca
Step 3: On the top left under the black bar is an option to "Install Office". This will install all office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, PowerPoint, etc). If you only want a select number of these installed simply click on the item to be installed from the main page and follow the instructions.

PowerSchool Parent Portal
PowerSchool's Parent Portal link is https://nlsis.powerschool.com/public/
For all students and parents using the mobile app you will need to sign out, delete then reinstall the app. Once reinstalled use the same username and password. The District Code is NNXG.
